Brand Loyalty

The willingness of customers to keep buying a brand and resist cheaper or newer alternatives.

Also known as: Customer Loyalty, Repeat Purchase Loyalty

Brand loyalty describes how loyal customers are to a brand and how hard it is for competitors to win them over. Loyal customers buy more often, are less price sensitive, refer others and forgive mistakes more easily. They are one of the most valuable levers in long term marketing.

What makes loyalty grow

Loyalty grows from consistent experiences, reliable quality, clear communication and the feeling of being treated fairly. Loyalty programmes, regular customer benefits and personal greetings can support that, but they do not replace a good product and a working service. Buying loyalty through discounts only trains customers on price instead of brand.

How it is measured

Important metrics are repeat purchase rate, share of returning customers in revenue, customer lifetime value, net promoter score and reactivation success after a break. High values indicate a healthy business model. Falling values are an early warning sign, even when new customer flow still looks stable.

Relevance for JD Mail and JD Partner

JD Mail supports loyalty through regular, relevant newsletters, post purchase trigger flows and targeted reactivation of dormant contacts. JD Partner brings reach that lets brand messages hit new audiences. Consistent newsletter content, advertising and service build loyalty over time instead of only chasing short term revenue.
