Off Page SEO
All SEO activities that happen outside your own website, especially link building, mentions and reputation.
Also known as: Offpage Optimisation, External SEO
Off page SEO covers all activities outside your own website that influence search engine rankings. That includes backlinks, brand mentions, reviews, social signals and the general reputation of a domain. Where on page SEO improves the structures and content on your own site, off page SEO is about the trust other sites and platforms broadcast about you.
Which levers matter
The strongest lever remains high quality backlinks from topically relevant, trusted sites. Reviews on portals, unlinked mentions, links from press releases and the build up of a strong brand also matter. Local signals such as entries in industry directories and map services count for local searches.
What to avoid
Artificial link networks, paid links without disclosure or mass directory submissions break search engine guidelines and can cost ranking. A better path is content that other sites link to on their own, plus active PR work, studies, tools and free resources that attract real attention.
In everyday SEO
In day to day SEO work off page activity complements on page and technical SEO. Teams build press contacts, partnerships, guest articles, study releases and care for relevant directories. There is little direct contact with JD Media tools such as JD Mail or JD Partner, but indirectly you benefit when your brand grows more visible through clear communication and strong content.
