B2B

Business relationship between companies, usually with longer decision paths and several stakeholders per deal.

Also known as: Business to Business, Corporate Sales

B2B stands for business to business and refers to models in which companies sell to other companies. Buying processes tend to be longer, with multiple stakeholders, budgets, approvals and comparative reviews. Marketing therefore rarely aims at the quick click. Instead it builds trust, evidence and guidance over weeks or months.

What B2B marketing typically looks like

In B2B, clear benefit arguments, references, case studies, whitepapers, webinars and personal contact carry the work. Audiences are smaller, but value per contact is much higher. Sales and marketing work tightly together because a lead usually needs further qualification before it buys.

What you should measure

Strong metrics are qualified leads, lead velocity, average deal size, sales cycle duration and conversion from contact to customer. Pure reach or click numbers tell little, because a single large contract can be worth more than a thousand unconnected clicks.

Relevance for JD Mail and JD Partner

JD Mail fits B2B newsletters, webinar invitations and trigger flows after a whitepaper download. JD Partner and JD Leads provide reach and qualified contacts that are handed over to CRM and sales. A clean split between private and business contacts in lists and reports is essential.
