Google AppSheet
Google's no code platform for building business apps based on Google Sheets, databases or cloud services.
Also known as: AppSheet
Google AppSheet is a no code platform that lets users build mobile and web apps without programming skills. Data sources include Google Sheets, Google Drive, SQL databases, Salesforce or cloud storage services. AppSheet automatically generates a usable interface available through app stores or as a website.
Functional scope
Typical use cases are internal tools like inventory lists, field service apps, audit forms, sales contacts or maintenance tickets. Workflows with conditions, notifications and approval steps are configured by clicking. Offline capability, geo capture, barcode scanning and image upload are also included. More complex logic is modelled through bots in a visual editor.
Limits and selection
No code platforms shine when the requirement is clearly scoped and built from standard features. Complex logic, heavy load or special security requirements quickly push them to their limits. AppSheet works well for internal tools with moderate data volumes, less so for publicly scaling applications with many concurrent users.
Context in marketing and operations
In daily marketing and operations work, AppSheet apps are often used as bridge solutions for event registrations, internal campaign approvals or lightweight CRM. For professional email communication to existing addresses a specialised platform such as JD Mail remains the right choice, while AppSheet covers operational tools in the background.
